Types of web hosting

Shared hosting

Shared hosting is the most basic and cheapest level of hosting services. These plans allow you to rent space on a shared hosting server. These servers host many other websites on the same server alongside your websites. These plans are the cheapest solution because they provide the least performance, security, and flexibility.

VPS hosting

Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting provides dedicated server resources only for you. Several instances of virtual servers run on a physical server, each allocated a strict portion of the hardware resources of the parent server. These instances act as independent servers. This is basically a lease of a part of a dedicated server.

With an isolated server environment and guaranteed resources, VPS hosting offers better security and performance than shared hosting. In addition, you'll have complete freedom to install any software on your server and customize it as you see fit.

Another significant advantage that VPS hosting offers small businesses is the ability to quickly expand their plan as their business and website traffic grows. Cloud VPS services with pay-per-traffic are a very advantageous option for small businesses and allow immediate expansion without downtime and without the need to transfer the website and files to another server.

Dedicated hosting

Dedicated servers are exactly what their name implies: one server dedicated to you. All the hardware that makes up the server is under your control. "Bare metal" servers often share network access with neighboring dedicated servers in the data center, but do not share any hardware. These hosting plans tend to be more expensive than shared or VPS, but they can give you even more performance, security, and flexibility, especially for those who require custom configurations or specific hardware.

Cloud hosting

Cloud servers, also known as public cloud hosting, are scalable hosting solutions on an enterprise-level cPanel cloud platform. Cloud hosting starts up within minutes and quickly scales as needed to accommodate traffic fluctuations or workload demands. And best of all, the servers are highly reliable due to redundant hardware and built-in high availability. These plans are also more expensive, but provide the best scalability, flexibility, agility, and cost efficiency.
